Q: Why is there an ice dam on my roof?
Ice dams are caused by continuous freezing and thawing of snow on your roof. This ice drives down under your roof causing damage to the roof and potentially your home. RoofBusters experienced professionals can help stop ice dams from forming, or fix damages already caused by existing ice dams.
Q: Will you shingle my roof in the winter?
Yes. We are experienced in Saskatchewan winter roofing application and maintenance.
Q: Can you apply new shingles over my old shingles?
Technically, yes. Do we recommend this? No. If your roof has one layer of good condition shingles that are laying flat then this method is acceptable in some circumstances. However, best practice is to remove old shingles and apply new ones. It is important that our installers can check the quality of the roof deck, that there is adequate ventilation and a number of other important steps that this method does not compensate for.
Q: Why is ventilation of my roof important?
Without a proper ventilation system, heat will build up and accelerate the aging process of your shingles and can cause leaking and rotting of your roofing system.
We believe that "more is not always better" when it comes to roof vents. Our specialists will take the time to examine your roof and make ventilation suggestions based on your individual needs.
